Last day of work.

السلام عليكم

Today, 22nd of December will be the last day of my first job. Sigh. A bit sad though. I thought I will be delighted that there will be no more of facing the PC everyday, of waking up early in the morning, and of the having less time at home (and less sleep.heheh :P).

I almost finish packing up my things. Excited, yes. Sad, very.

I gotta go. No more of me in this short period of time, I think. Will be far away from any PC or even the non-existence-new-laptop.

Hey, why don't I apply for a new job? Heheheee. Nabilah should know what I'm talking about. I have an application form that need to be posted. Right. Post it please, soon.

Later peeps!
Have a nice weekend.

Life is a GIFT.

السلام عليكم

Today, before you say an unkind word...
Think of someone who can't speak.

Before you complain about the taste of your food...
Think of someone who has nothing to eat.

Before you complain about your husband or wife...
Think of someone who's crying out to GOD for a companion.

Today, before you complain about life...
Think of someone who went too early to heaven.

Before whining about the distance you drive...
Think of someone who walks the same distance with their feet.

And when you are tired and complaining about your job...
Think of the unemployed, the disabled and those who wish they had your job.

And when depressing thoughts seems to get you down, put a smile on your face and think;

You're alive and still around.
Just praise and thank God for his gift of life.

I think this piece is beautiful. It tells you to be VERY grateful and appreciate the things and people that are around you :')

While I was reading it, 'OUCH!' because sometimes I didn't think enough and just follow my emotions and nerves. Why I didn't think about others? I have so much, but why I demand more for the unnecessary? Why do others have less? But need no more than just to fill an empty bulging stomach causes by not eating for weeks.

Ya Allah, do help the people there, where ever they are. Make them tough and ease their life, InsyaAllah.

And Allah, do make us, the one who have more than enough food (till we suffer diabetes, obesity, chronic heart diseases, till we throw away the food uneaten due to full stomach but others scrambling to take the food that is thrown on the ground) to be VERY, VERY grateful.

Asthaghfirullahalazim. Asthaghfirullahalazim. Asthaghfirullahalazim.

Make us a better person ya Allah. We want to be a human who knows humanity and kindness, who never neglect the poorer society around us. And to aid them, to guide them and to cherish them.

You know what? I actually saw this source of awe from a Japanese Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur. (Will tell about it soon, InsyaAllah) You know where I found it? Nope, not on the wall, but on the place mat. There, they use a paper printed with words and jokes as a place mat. Quite cool if you ask me. And quite a laugh and also a reminder :)

Maybe you had glance through this before but never really implement it on yourselves aite? In life, always learn something from others and especially from what you read. Whether you read a newspaper, magazine, comics or manga, school/college books or even my blog, always, always and always imply it on you and make your own lesson.

Yes, lesson as in pengajaran. Same as you wrote the lesson in your English/Bahasa Melayu class; We must always..., We need to..., Kita hendaklah..., Kita mestilah..., Janganlah kita..., etc.

When learning 'lesson' in class e.g. from the poem/novel we're learning, we are trained to take what's good and letting go the bad. Bad things happen for a reason mind you. Sometimes it need to be avoided, sometimes we need it for a constant reminder. It's how you take it.

Think about it.

Affect or Effect

Question:

Does the weather affect or effect your mood?

Answer:

affect

How to Remember It:

The simplest distinction is that affect is almost always a verb, and effect is usually a noun.
It may help to remember that the verb – the "action word" – starts with "a": affect is an action.

Desert/Dessert

Question:

If you receive an appropriate punishment, did you get your just deserts or just desserts?

Answer:

just deserts

How to Remember It:

This word is unrelated to deserts of the sand and cactus kind, and it isn't about the desserts that provide a sweet finish to a meal.
Instead, this deserts comes from the same word that gave usdeserve. (Oddly, it's pronounced like desserts.)

Stationary/Stationery

Question:

Do you buy your writing paper in a store that sells stationary or stationery?

Answer:

stationery

How to Remember It:

For one, consider the histories of these words.
Stationery comes fromstationer, a word that in the 14th century referred to someone who sold books and papers. What the stationer sold eventually came to be referred to by the noun stationery ("materials for writing or typing" and "letter paper usually accompanied with matching envelopes").
Meanwhile, the adjective stationary has always been used to describe what is fixed, immobile, or static.
Here's another way to remember it: stationery is spelled with an "e," like the envelopes that often come with it.

Principal/Principle

Question:

Is the person in charge of a school the principal or theprinciple?

Answer:

principal

How to remember it:

A couple of mnemonics based on letters are useful here: the principal is your pal. Principle, like rule, ends in "l-e."

Happy teeth :B

السلام عليكم

While browsing, I found this site that holds lots of beneficial info on taking a good care of your teeth. Your teeth is very important, agree?

If not, why do people get embarrassed when he/she got a spinach stuck on his/her teeth :B

And why bother to brush if it's not important?

Did you know that if your gum got infected, it can lead to other illnesses such as heart disease, stroke and diabetes?

Do spent
 a few minutes
 on reading the page, HERE.

One year old baby :')

السلام عليكم

Hooray people!!! Let's sing a Happy birthday song to our dear bloggie; hanieindemand.blogspot.com It is ONE year old :')

How time flies right? This blog was created on the 14th of December 2010 and today is 14th of December 2011. A few days till New Year kan?

I did have another blog back in 2008 and it is still in the web. It is so embarassing -.-' I want to delete the blog, but too bad I forgot the password. Sigh.

I was a paranoid blogger before. I didn't believe myself. I rely more on Microsoft Words to check my spelling and grammars. I will always type my entries in Words first before copying and pasting on blogger.com. Pffft! That's sooo lame right? =_____=

Alhamdulillah, now I had improved and just typed in blogger, no need Words dah.

I don't know. Sometimes my right brain was pumping heavily, needing a way to channel the ideas, I decorate my entry. I use different colour to match the mood or simply picking different fonts and hues to describe something. For example, when I mentioned about tiger, the alphabet is in orange, brown and black; just like the tiger stripe.heh~ (Itu memang dah takda kerja la tuu) And I can only do that using Words as there are more variety of fonts and customize shades to my desire.

RAWWR!
I go crazy about finding the right 'dress' or template for my blog. I will stayed up till 2 a.m. browsing the net and waiting for the preview image to upload. And not finding the right one. -.-' I think I can just last with the same template Max: 3 months and Min: 1 week. It is soo HARD to find the right one aite? (This underline sentence has a double meaning. *wink!)

SO, I AM GOING TO CHALLENGE MYSELF TO STAY WITH THE SAME TEMPLATE FOR A YEAR. Starting in January, InsyaAllah. I am planning to design my own template, background, header, colour scheme and theme. Everything is still in progress :)

Talking about theme, "the best thing for a blog is for you to have a theme". Oh, I read it somewhere. So, what is Hanie's blog theme? I would say SHARE. I just love to share. That's why some said my blog is a bit PERSONAL. Yeah, you're right! This is a personal blog and all content in here is to be read and shared.

I want people to feel that they're not the only one facing it. If I had gone through it, so can YOU. Because I want to be able to feel like that; of not being the ONLY one in this world who is not studying Medic oversea. I mean, is it a sin studying Medic locally? NO it is not. I have a friend who got straight A pluses, an Assistant Head Boy in a prominent residential school, who ranked TOP 20 in MALAYSIA for SPM 2010, got the Biasiswa Nasional, when he got the opportunity to study where ever he wanted, but genius enough to further his study in Medicine in Universiti Malaya. Hows that?!

OK, sorry that I had started babbling here. Sigh.

Let's cheer things up yah? Well, I got a pleasant surprise for you guys. Well, I don't know whether you'll like it or not. But, it I won't be telling you guys any sooner till I buy a new lappy. I need a new lappy to continue this so called 'surprise' as this office PC won't be able to handle it. HEHEHEEEEEE.

I got a bit excited when today is bloggie's first birthday. Hey, I'm not the only one who get agitated over a first birthday. Hahaha. So, I started Googling about 'first year old birthday party' and found these admirable party1 and party2. And if you are a boy, you may like this.

AND, the main reason why I blogged is so my friends can know my up-dates. I'm not likely to update my status in Facebook, and not planning to have a Twittter or Tumblr. Yeah, you go on with the Ts. I'm staying with with Facebook and Blogspot.

Though I tend to share personal things in blog, I do know what's the different between personal and TOO personal.

A habit of mine,
I reread my writings
  at least
3 times
 before posting it.hehee
When you write, you're a Writer.
When you blog, you're a Blogger.
When you share, you're a Human.
May Allah bless you, InsyaAllah.

Say buh-bye to Lappy :'(

السلام عليكم

Alhamdulillah, praises to Allah for everything he had blessed upon us.

A very sad story to be conveyed. My three (3) year old lappy is now very NAZAK. It started a few days ago when it has shut down automatically after 20 minutes using it. Well, I thought the battery was losing its juice. But, no! I know something wrong had happened as I also heard some flickering sound at the bottom of my Lappy.

Went to an IT store at Wangsa Walk. Uh-Ohh, I just know it. Something was terribly wrong.

Before I even showed to the technician my Laptop, he guessed that it was Compaq bought back in 2008. He was right!. He said that this model had really bad reputation and always had this problem. On top of that, he also mentioned that the laptop won't last after 2 years. But, heyy! It did survived a year longer :)

It was bought on the 30th of December 2008. Right after I got my PMR result, we headed to Low Yat; a very famous IT mall.

We were together through thick and thin, sweat, tears and blood.

The main reason beli laptop pon supaya senang nak do all the stuffs untuk F1 in Schools competition. That time, tak confirm pon dapat participate. Alhamdulillah, we had proceed to the National Finals. Dengan laptop tu la aku dok design segala car model using Solid Edge, Qiss tolong buatkan Corporate videos, and etc.
That one on the left.
With that laptop too where I learnt a bit about Adobe Photoshop during the making of Teraju Puteri (our school's magazine).

It was also served us during the hectic Form 5 'works'. While others are busy studying, we were busy typing and attending meetings.

It was really a heavy duty laptop. And VERY HEAVY in weight to be mentioned. Lenguh gilaa kalau nak bawak ke hulu ke hilir. HAHA.

Memang lasak laa. Jatuh banyak kali pon still funtioning. We facebook-ed in our private rooms, it was soo stress relieving.

Yess, I admit. I do have the thought of getting it replace. It was tiring to wait for it to start up. It took almost 10 minutes! No joking!

I planned to get a new one somewhen between 2013, so I got to bring a new lappy to Kuantan. Heh.

TAPI, ajal dah sampai buat lappy lama. Kalau nak baiki cost about RM 700+. Might as well buy a new one right?

"Walaupun aku kadang-kadang geram tunggu kau ON lama gila. Sampai tertido pon ade. At least boleh ajar adik-adik aku yang beriya nak tengok movie kat laptop untuk belajar sabar. Walaupun kau tu berat gilaa, susah aku nak bawak. Tapi it had been a wonderful journey with you. Dengan screen besar tu la puas tengok movie. Dengan sound system kau yang gempak! (Walaupun aku rasa speaker kau dah rosak sikit due to over usage.heheh) Dengan graphic kau yang sharp tu la aku pernah main Counter Strike and aku dah  taubat TAK NAK main lagi. Dengan kau jugak la aku create blog ni untuk tatapan rakan-rakan aku yang baik-baik belaka tu."

It is just a piece of machine.
Life must go on.
Need to buy a new one.
but maybe just a
Fast, Sharp, Heavy duty, Light
laptop 14" or 15" inch.
Any other suggestion?
Your thought will be much appreciated.
Thanks!
Wasslam :)

Friday Monologue.

السلام عليكم

"Hidup biar berjasa, mati biar beriman
Berfikir biar berilmu, berbicara biar berbahasa
bergaul biar beradab
berakal biar berakhlak.

menyayangi orang lain tanpa syarat,

Think about others too since small.

السلام عليكم

Ouuhh, yesterday, it was raining heavily in Zuhur, not just raining cats and dogs but maybe elephant and dinasours! Haha.

What instantly came to my mind was, "Janganlah banjir macam kat Kajang".

To Kajang people, I'm hoping that the flood problem will be solve soon, InsyaAllah.

OK, back to agenda. Today, I wanna share a bit about parenthood. Pheeewittt!

Yolah, anda-anda kan bakal parents yang akan dikurniakan cahaya mata yang beriman, beramal soleh, dan menjadi penyejuk mata, InsyaAllah. Or, maybe you, readers are the parents.

That day, while waiting for my Mom, I read the newspaper. *I forgot it was NST or STAR, sorry -.-'

An article caught my attention. It was an article wrote by John Rosemond entitled 'Adults Should Not Make Idols of Children'. Here's what I wanna highlight;

"Children need to be told to eat what is on their plates not because it is good for them (although it may be) but because it is rude to refuse to eat something someone, even one of your parents, has spent time and energy preparing for you. This is very civilised lesson begins at home, at the family table"

I like it you know. If kids are taught like this, they will learn how to appreciate people especially their parents. When they do appreciate their parents, they will work hard to excel and make their parents proud and grinning happy.

Now, let's see from another angle. If kids are taught to take something just because it's good for you, they will be taught to ONLY take something that will bring benefits to them. So, what if is something isn't good for them but is good and brings happiness for other people instead? They won't take it, right?

They also must be taught that the food for example, is God's giving. We want God to accept our prayers, right? So, we must be good to Allah by finishing the nutritious food.

Sorry if I got carried away
or lari topik ke.
I have a lack at explaining -.-'
But,
I do like the idea of
it is RUDE to REFUSE something
somebody put a lot an effort on it.
Keep thinking and relate it on yourselves.
Till then,
Wassalam :)
