Re-branding :)

Please be informed that there will NO more writer. blogger. human. It had been changed to HER ALMANAC. Still doesn't have the slightest idea how to design my new header. So, just stick to a conventional but presentable one.

Even FotoSpeak had been changed to  [Picture Here] An Album by A Novice, Hanie Hamdi. Remember if you buy a frame, there will be a [Picture Here].heheh And the theme colour of my photoblog is Black and Yellow. Just like Wiz Khalifa's song. Actually I'm not that fond of the song.  Just the 'black and yellow, black and yellow' is sooo catchy XD

Hope you guys like it.
Tak suka pon takpa.
'Coz I LOVE it.hehh
Wassalam :)

Your absence is felt :')

I don't know what is the right introduction for this post. But I do know that there's a good ending to this story.

It is understandable that you want your presence noticed. But it is AMAZING when your ABSENCE is FELT.

At first, I was 'struggling' to adjust to the new surrounding with new classmate. (OK, takda la struggling sangat. But you got my idea) Don't worry peeps! I'm OK now. Got a few girls that can bear with me.heheee And yeah, who needs the guys kan?hahaa :P

Once in a while, I will bump into my old classmates. Their reaction was an overwhelming joy. Absolutely charming.

"HAAAANNNIIEE!" they yelled my name. I can see the wide, sincere grin they wore on their face.

Then, we hug each other. "Group hugggg!"

It was truly '"Awwwh, terharu nyahh!" for me. And they did it every time we met. Whether at the corridor or when I'm on my way to class and they are going back to their room.

Once, I'm going to my Arabic class. I met them. As usual, the exciting "HAAAANNNIIEE!" screamed could be heard. Then, one said, "Jom la masuk kelas dengan kitaorang". She pleaded like a cute little girl  in pink with two pony tail asking for me to join her for a 'tea party'. Surely you can't say no. "Alah, sorry korang. Ada kelas Arab laa".  :(

Ohh, how I wish I can be with them in the class together, again like old times. And like this time. During our class dinner, the final night in CFS for sem 1. Credits to Nina ;)

"Hanie, kau ingat aku lagi tak?" Ya Allah, takkan bisa aku lupa akan kau semua.

I just want you to know that you girls/guys really made my day. I really appreciate that "Hi Hanie" and "HAAAANNNIIEE!" and "Rindunya kat kau" and especially "Eh, Hanie kau nampak kurus laa" (hehe).

Untungnya siapa dapat satu kelas dengan korang. Dan semestinya, korang sangat IRREPLACEABLE

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. May ALLAH bless all of you.

Bercinta Selepas Berkahwin (Ally Iskandar & Farah Lee)

First of all, tahniah kepada pasangan Ally Iskandar dan Nurfarahin Romli yang telah sah menjadi pasangan suami isteri. Semoga berbahagia hingga ke Syurga-Nya. Amin :)

This is such a great example of 'bercinta' after marriage. They barely know each other but trust faith. But most of all they trust ALLAH that they were meant for each other. That is soo sweet taw :')

No need for hanky-panky, hugging like it's the end of the world just to prove that you love him/her. Seriously NO NEED for that. Even Islam prohibits it right?

"O you, those who have faith, guard your selves and your families form a fire whose fuel is people and stones" "Wahai orang-orang yang beriman, periharalah dirimu dan ahli keluargamu daripada api neraka" -Surah At-tahrim; Ayat 6.

"Sabda Nabi Muhammad S.A.W; "Jika kepala seseorang dari kamu ditusuk dengan jarum besi, itu lebih baik baginya dari ia menyentuh seorang wanita yang tidak halal untuknya" -Riwayat Imam at-Thabrani dan al-Baihaqi

But, after the solemnization (nikah) it's up to you. *wink! wink! ;)

Ally Iskandar is one of the famous TV personalities in Malaysia. I don't know him personally, but I can see that he's the kind of person who is very polite and responsible :)

Ms. Farah Lee or should I say Madam Farah Lee (hehhe) is actually one famous blogger. I just blog-walked in her territory and mashaAllah, she wrote such beautiful posts! Amazing! HERE.

And this is some extract in the newly wed couple video that I had watched so many times and never once miss the "Awwwwh :')". The first time I watched the video, tears comes gathering in my eyes T_T

Favorite quotes:

Ally: "Jadi kalau kita sekadar kawan nak main-main tu, baik kita tak payah berkawan lah."

Ally: "Kali pertama jumpa, we really meant business lah"

Farah: "First time jumpa tu macam, dapat hidayah, orang cakap. Macam, ohh, inilah orangnya." :D

Ally: "Tak pernah cakap I LOVE YOU. Sumpah. Kan?" Farah: "Sumpah"

Masa tu dia kecik lagi. Tapi dia kata dia tak minat. Dia ambil gambar je." LOL.

Farah: "Saya ikut restu ibu bapa"

Just a gentle
reminder for me
and others too.
We always think about what Allah had prepared for us,
BUT what did we prepared for Allah?

Vampire Bermaharajalela +_+

During 'Discovery Week' in CFS, was held a Blood Donation Campaign.

Gambar hiasan ;)

Let me tell you this, UIA's students are so generous! Especially when donating blood. Whenever I went to the hall, there will always be a long queue to donate blood. The organizers even had to add up the chairs for next day blood collection because of the encouraging turn-out ;)

One of my roommates also donated her blood. Because of the habit of eating brunch and light breakfast, she had to come back again after she took a heavier meal. Yeah, I was there to see her blood being transferred in a transparent tube. Then I saw dark red blood in a packet. I was so thrilled to see her blood XD

I even touch the tube! HAHAH.

After you donate your blood, you'll usually feel a bit dizzy or fatigue as there are less blood to carry oxygen throughout the body. That's why they usually give you Milo and biscuits :) And yet, there's this particular girl who was jumping up and down after she donated. I was like, "Kau ni betol ke dah derma darah?" You know who you are. HAHAH :D

Anyway, seeing I was super excited with blood, they let me to insert the needle! At first I was quite nervous, but I did it efficiently! No lebam OK. Why do we have bruises after donating blood?, HERE.

Moreover, blood donating is very good. It's a way of us giving sadaqah. We can even help to save life. No need to be a doctor to help save life, just donate your blood :)

What about you? Did you donate your blood?

It has been a life time dream for me to donate my blood.   But I've yet to donate mine :(

Last time the Pusat Darah Negara people came, I was fasting. You have to eat something heavy before donating. So, no can do. And this time, I was having flu. Your blood must be free from viruses and bacteria. And no medication in 7 days time.

But the TRUTH is I am scared. Scared of the needle. Takut jarummm! I can't imagine the needle in my vein. Brrr, just thinking about it made my neck's hair stand.

The only thing we have to fear is fear itself-Franklin D. Roosevelt

So, I'm still searching for my courage. *Yuuuhooo, Courage. Come to Mommy dear. Mommy wanna donate her blood~

InsyaAllah. If Allah wills, I'm gonna do it! I WANNA do it, so I'm GONNA do it!

No pain, No gain right?heheee

Actually,
both of my roommates had donated theirs.
Bravo to them! :D
A few friends
such as Nabilah and Auni
had done it too.
Mantooop!
Next in the line,
HANIEEEE!
InsyaAllah.
Hopefully I'm courageous enough.

Thennnn?!
Semalam aku gi dengar talk ilmiah kat AMF~ *AMF stands for Al-Malik Faisal Hall
Laa, itu pon nak kecoh. Piraaaahh!

Alaaa. Ni first time kot aku gi dengar talk ilmiah cenggini ni kat UIA. Before ni aku nak pergi, tapi hati tu rasa berat sangat nak pergi. No, bukan rasa berat hati, tapi more to tak rela :(

Aku pon tak tahu kenapa. Tapi memang susah sangat. Kalau ada apa-apa talk, roomates aku mesti rajin sangat nak pergi. Bagus. Nak buat alasan apa pon aku tak tahu.

Masalah ini aku usulkan kepada rakan-rakanku semasa our day out kat KLCC on the 1st January 2012. Sarah beriya tanya, WHY? I don't know Sarah. But I think it is a sort of rebel. My bad. No one else to blame but myself.

1st January 2012 <3

Then Nadia said, Hanie, kadang-kadang keikhlasan tu datang daripada keterpaksaan

Ya Allah, memang ouch gle! Menusuk ke kalbu. That's the words I need. So, I know my 2012 resolution then. Mengikhlaskan diri melalui keterpaksaan. Sounds weird, but it does work for me.

It was a HUGE step for me. Gratefully I got some friend who are interested to hear the talk too. Yeaahh, that kinda help. Buat something secara berjemaah ;)

So, I do deserve a pat on the back kan? *wink! wink! :D

Ok la. Bagus Hanie, bagus. CONGRATS!!!! :)

Yesterday was a talk by Ustaz Muhammad Shaari Abdul Rahman. He's the writer of 'Kuasa Kepemimpinan Al-Fateh' and 'Berfikir Cara Al-Fateh'.

Why is it so hard to conquer Constantinople? One of the factor was that it has a really high, strong walls and 'berlapis-lapis'. Mind you, dulu takdak bom nuklear lagi lorh.

Kubu Konstantinople

Why do they want to conquer Constantinople? I'm so sorry that I'm really not the expert to tell you. But I know that it has to do with Rasulullah's hadith. So, grab one of Ustaz Shaari books to know more about it ;)

The book mentioned :)
How on earth Muhammad Al-Fateh ni boleh jadi hebat gle kan?

Among his habits that we should practice:

1. Be POSITIVE (The Law of Impression), he never give up though the possibilities to conquer Constantinople seems very impossible.
2. Be PROACTIVE (The Law of Execution), he had disguised to do investigation inside the fort. When you know yourself and your enemy; you'll WIN!
3. Clear vision (The Law of Attraction)
4. Synergy (The Law of Teamwork)
5. Thinking out of the box (The Law of Creativity)
6. Integrity (The Law of Influence)
7. Tawakkal (The Law of Commitment)

I really like how he think. Very creative and witty, full of strategy and energy. He really READS a lot, which also lead to his victory. The victory is not a work of one man but mainly the hard work of the whole team that made it all happen.

There's much more to be shared. InsyaAllah later in my upcoming post :)

Also,
I want to congratulate
 Nadia
 for her proud achievement.
 You go girl!
And,
congratulations to YOU too
who are reading this.
I might not know who you are,
 what you had succeed,
but I do know
you need that CONGRATS too :D
Till then,
take care!
Wassalam :)

13 January 2012

3 days of sem 3.

OK. Just a short post. (Hopefully)

I really got so much to tell yet I am very not in the mood for any writing and posting lah.

By the way, class had just started on Wednesday. Me in a new group, when most of us are staying in the same group. I was imagined how on Earth I'm gonna start over with the Hi!, Nama apa?, Course apa?, Duduk kat mana? and etc.

Well, yeah! I do felt like I was pushed away, and away from my previous group mate :(

But, I took the challenge!

Mann, I was nervous to class. I texted my friend, Nina. "Alah, just be yourself la", she advised. (I forgot what else she wrote coz I ter'delete' message =_=) P.S. Thanks Nina <3

And, OK la. They wasn't as friendly as my previous groupmates, but I can handle it. (InsyaAllah)

Uuuuuuuuwwww. This new group has lots of boys. I mean when was the last time my class was had more guys than girls? Oh yeah. When I was in PRIMARY schools. I mean, that wasn't as if it was yesterday. NO. And there was not even a single boy in our class back in SSP. So you probably get what I'm saying.

Anyway, like I care much about them kan? No need for that. At least the class felt balance with the almost same ratio of boys to girls.

The girls are okay lah. I didn't have enough time to know them like really, really know them pon. But so far, survived. They're nice and were nice to me. That's what's matter :)

I got inspired to post an entry about what I heard and learnt from my Basic Themes of Al-Quran subject or better known as BTQ for IIUM's students. (BTQ is more less like Islamic studies) But, not in this entry maybe. Later, InsyaAllah.

This morning, for our Maths class, our lecturer did a Ta'aruf session whereby all the students have to say their nicknames and what they got for their Addmaths in SPM. Like GASPS! Wow! Dapat tahu result SPM orang lain. Cuak la gak. Segan pon ada :S

Sorang-sorang bangun bagi taw nama and result Addmaths. Wehhh, budak group aku semua A+ for SPM's Addmaths. Gempak ke tak? Budak laki pon A+ kottt! Tapi nampak la muka budak laki yang pandai-pandai la. Boleh nampak la. Budak perempuan tak yah cakap la. Tak tengok muka pon tahu pandai ;) -this is a compliment.

So, I'm guessing it will be more challenging being in a class full of intelligent and bright students. I never saw about 98% of the students in my group before this. They are so bunch of strangers to me. Yeah, maybe a stranger for the time being. Haa, nanti dah kenal betul-betul, kecoh la satu kelas.huhuuu :P

I am really glad that all my lecturers are very good. I can see it from the very first class with them. I even got an international lecturer from Philippine :)

Oh wow!
This turns out to be not-so-short post after all.hahaha
I really hope
 everything will be alright.
At this moment
 I felt a bit skeptical.
But, as they say, "Husnuzhon".
Bersangka baik.
Wassalam :)

Ms. Silver ;)

My, my, just loving the sound of this keyboard.

Tap. Tap. Tap. Taaaaaaaaaap!

Guess what?! Alhamdulillah I got new laptop. Well, not actually got. I bought it, OK. Using my own money that was advanced by Mama because I didn't receive my second and third month paycheck yet! Anyway, THANK YOU MAMA :)

After a long journey without a laptop, Alhamdulillah again, I've survived. (Dengan susah-payahnya) It is quite hard if you don't have a laptop taw. But I don't remember being that hard when I was in primary school. That time, all you need is a TV and yeah, alatan main masak-masak :P

Usually when buying all this IT stuffs, most people go to Low Yat, am I right? I agree to that too. Due to a few constrains such as time, just send my regards to Low Yat and say Hi! to High Yat (HAHA, joke) Thankfully, the management of Wangsa Walk Mall was genius enough to make the IT section in the mall. It really helps, I tell you. You got most of the gadgets there at a reasonable price. (Yes, at Low Yat you can get a cheaper price but I doubt the quality :P)

I don't just buy something just like that *snapping fingers, especially when it cost some fortune. I did my own research on 'Tips buying a laptop', 'Best laptop in 2011', and also the specs that I want and need. I did this list where by I want the laptop to have at least Intel i3, a Nvidia/AVI graphic card, Hard disk 500GB, 4G RAM, Windows 7, bluetooth, web camera, and budget under RM 2K (Budget is really important!).

Extra infos:
  • Processor ranking: Intel i7>Intel i5>Intel i3 (But i3 is good enough for mild gaming). Intel Pentium is a bit out-dated.
  • I don't really suggest Intel HD Graphic cards if you plan to do a bit designing, Nvidia or AVI is good enough.
  • Hard disk is the long term memory where to store all your files e.g. documents, pictures, videos, movies.
  • RAM is the short term memory that is when you are opening a few windows e.g. Words, Powerpoint, Internet browsers at the same time.
  • Ranking of affordable laptops: 1. ASUS 2. TOSHIBA 3. ACER

One day, I went searching for the laptop with a girl friend. She was surprised that I know so many thing about computers. Yeah, I'm a total GEEK =___=

There's no harm for you girls out there to know stuffs about computers. Computers are not just for boys. Being in a residential all girls school had taught me about GIRL POWER and to depends less on men (or others) but to believe and achieve it yourselves.

So, what did I bought?

Jeng, jeng, jeng, jenggggg.

TOSHIBA L745-1338X

It has
  • Intel i3,
  • Nvidia 1G,
  • 4G RAM,
  • 640GB Hard disk,
  • bluetooth,
  • Wifi,
  • 14.0' LED Display
  • DVD Double layer drive
  • 6-cell lithium ion (The more cell, the more time the battery can last)
  • Weight: 2.14 kg
  • Colour: Grace Silver

So now, I got two important gadgets in grey/silver. Mr. Grey, my Canon DSLR 1100D. And now, Ms. Silver, my Toshiba lappy. Hey, I just notice that my Galaxy Mini GT-S570 is a white phone with a silver lining.hehee

Galaxy Mini, white and grey
This is just pictures credits to Mr. Google. Will post some pictures of it's sleek and stunning design soon, InsyaAllah.

P.S.; Got sooo many things to tell in this bloggie. Lots of designing needs to be done. So many things to do and so little time. Hope to get everything right :]
Yes,
I think I am very late.
Very, very late.
But,
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
May this year be a year full of barakah && Iman,
Aminn.
Wassalam :)
