A tough decision made.

As you may know, I LOVE taking pictures :D Should I rephrase that? I LOVE taking MANY pictures. Sometimes people question me, “Why do you take those pictures?” Well, they did say that beauty lies on the eye of the beholder right? Sometimes we neglect things around us because we were accustomed by it. For example I took a picture of an old abandon lamp on a side walk where hundreds of people walk by everyday but never noticed it. You just need to stop a while and look at it. You will notice that the rust on it can be something worth shooting for J

Walaupun panggil dia Abang, tapi dia lagi muda daripada aku.hahah Aku suruh dia drive sebab aku ni bukannya reti sangat jalan kat KL tu. Tahu tapi tak confident sangat. Sampai la kami kat Low Yat tu. Cari hard disk. Dapat la 500 GB for RM 188. Brand Buffalo. 3 years Warranty. Champagne Topaz colour, cantiksss! Worth it :D

Meneruskan ekspedisi mencari charger Tabby. Tabby kini dah ‘koma’ for almost sebulan. Charger tiba-tiba rosak masa charge kat hotel kat Sarawak. Original charger will cost RM 150. Mahal kot. Nak buat macam mana, terpaksa la beli. Tapi stok habis la pulak. Nak kena tunggu at least sebulan. Say whaaattt?! Sebulan?! Aku dah nak register weekend ni kot! Macam mana nak buat kerja nanti? Documents penting pun ada dalam Tabby =.=’

Dulu aku ingatkan senang la. Tabby tu 2-in-1. Boleh jadi tablet dan laptop. Tapi tak boleh la nak harap dia perform macam laptop sebab dia tablet. But for a tablet, it had perform well.

Aku pun ada pernah terfikir nak beli laptop baru. Mana nak korek duit?

Cousins aku pun cadangkan aku beli je laptop baru. Jual je Tabby dapat top up balik duit.

Never mind, kita pergi lunch dulu then decide. Pergi la Kenny Rodger’s kat TS. Aku baru tahu yang Low Yat, Sungai Wang Plaza & Berjaya Times Square tu dekat2 je. Semua walking distance.huhuhu Bersungguh-sungguh nak makan kat KR sebab dapat free coupons from our uncle. He works as a manager at one of the KR branch.

While walking to the escalator at TS, I bumped into Izzah, one of my friend from Karate J She was also from Low Yat. She bought this kind of tablet specializing in drawing Manga. Let me tell you that she is a VERY excellent Manga artist ;)

After a fulfilling lunch, I decided to buy a new laptop. Called Mama for a green light, which she apparently gave. Made our way back to Low Yat. Did some surveying and found the lucky new lappy. I wanted it to have at least an i3 processor with a good graphic card, hopefully it is an ultrabook AND that it cost under RM 1500. However, such thing doesn’t exist.

Most of the ultrabook just used Pentium. The thinner it is, the less the performance is.

Ohh by the way, at Low Yat Windows 8 are everywhere. Most of the brand new laptops pakai Windows 8. Dapat la kitorang testing Windows 8 tu. Memang nampak canggih. With all that colours, memang menarik hati. Terutamanya generasi muda macam kami ni. Memang la teringin nak pakai Windows 8 tu, tapi macam tak worth it.

They call it laptop-tablet hybrid. Bukan kereta je ada hybrid taw :P

Windows 8 beza hanya Start menu sahaja. Selalu Start menu kat kiri bawah tu. Desktop dia still sama macam any Windows 7 je. Sepatutnya ubah la sekali, baru la best. Windows 8 punya security pun macam lain macam sikit, jadi susah untuk install other softwares. Kata abang promoter tu laa. To know more about Windows 8, try reading this article HERE

Anyway, sementara tunggu juruteknikal tu set up laptop aku, we had our tea and played Cut The Rope on the displayed laptop there. Dah puas main Windows 8 pun tak siap lagi. Tunggu dan tunggu sampai kami sakit kaki. At last a brand new sleek black HP laptop with 2nd generation of Intel Core i-3, Radeon graphic card, 500 GB disk, 4 GB RAM. And it's all for RM 1600. Ok laa. Can be consider worth buying with all that specs.

Bukan nak membangga diri, sekadar berkongsi rasa hati.

Menyesal jugak tak kerja cuti 3 bulan kali ni. Kalau tak boleh kumpul at least 2k. Beli laptop ni pun guna sisa-sisa gaji aku kerja 3 bulan tahun lepas.

Bukan mudah
 untuk aku membuat keputusan ini.
Besar harapan aku
 yang laptop baru ni akan
 terus berjasa dengan tuannya.
Minimum 5 tahun.
Sampai aku habis degree ke?
The next new laptop mintak sebagai hadiah hantaran.
MacBook Air ke?
Ok jugak tu.hahah
Wassalam :)

Unforgettable Uzbekistan (Day 1)

With a bit of silence from me (just came back from Sarawak trip.hihihi), and a bit of loudness from the fireworks (yes, Happy New Year to you!) here I am again trying to spare you my story of Uzbekistan trip.

Our flight to Uzbekistan was on Tuesday, 4th of December 2012 which was last month and last year (get it?haha). The only flight to Uzbekistan was on Uzbekistan Airways which their planes were painted in white, blue and green which I then learnt were the colours of their national flag.

Our flight was approximately 10.10 am and we had to be at KLIA by 7 am.  Later after we check-in our bags, we had a group gathering with the other tour members. There, I figured out that I was the only youngster in the group :( Of course I was quite devastated of learning that I have no friends around the same age to make. The others were just all grown-ups and just a pair of sisters who I bet had already started working.

I tried to cheer myself up. I have my beautiful family with me to enjoy the holiday, why fret right? After the immigration and stuffs, we headed to gate C6. On the way there, exactly after we step off the train in KLIA, I saw a few of Uzbeks. *whistling* Uuu laa laa. They’re gorgeous!

In an international flight of course you expect some great movies ‘on air’ right? From my previous experience they usually had lined up international movies that had not even screen in the cinema for us to watch. Another let down; there was none!

All they serve to us was just local Uzbekistan movies. I don’t mind watching it, as long as it was in English and not in Uzbek language which I can’t understand a thing! There weren’t English subtitles at all! There were just some people translating it for you. The ‘best’ part was every male character has the same voice and boring intonation. Try to imagine that a little boy, a middle age man and a crippling old man has the same voice! It was quite hilarious if you ask me. I end up sleeping because it was so boring and that I was a bit tired of waking up early. Did it told you it was a 7 hours journey?

One thing that I love about travelling on plane is the land of cloud that can be encountered. Magnificent!

It seems like the 'lion'  is taking a bath. Lol.

When I woke up, *yawn* “still a long way to go”. I stretched myself and bring my gaze to the small oval window. Hmm, the clouds over here look different. Oh wait! They’re not clouds! They’re actually ices on the mountains! Beautiful! Masya Allah :’)

Lunch up in the air. Lovely food :9

Alhamdulillah, we arrived safely at Tashkent International Airport. I immediately fell in love. The place was insanely beautiful! Masya Allah, the paintings of Allah were just so downright amazing!

One of my favourite. It looks like an oil painting huh?

First sunset in Uzbekistan :')

They are still trying to upgrade their airport, so it wasn’t in its best condition. Later, we headed to our bus. There, we met our tour guide; Mr. Ulugbek. We called him Bek.

Ulugbek the tour leader :)

Tashkent is the capital city of Uzbekistan. But we weren’t spending the nights there just yet. We headed to the domestic airport to take the domestic flight to Bukhara which is another state of Uzbekistan. We had to transit at the airport for about 4 hours.

Above; Sandwich. Below; Domestic airport.

Surprisingly, for a country of majority Muslim, they don’t have a Prayer Room. My Mom said even Korea Airport has it! We had to take our Wuduk at the toilet and did our Jamak prayer at a corner of the airport.

Once we touched down, all the local people will wear their jackets and coats. I wonder what the temperature was then. Us, being the Malaysia are somehow thrilled, and didn’t realize that it was cold. We still wore our cotton-ish blouses though the temperature was somewhat single digit degree Celsius.

We safely arrived in Buhkhara and we were famished! Had our first meal in Uzbekistan at the hotel.

Yours Truly :)

Bukhara Airport

Dinner for the night :)
The room

Went to our room and straight to bed. Done for the day :)

To be continued.
Have a great 2013!
Wassalam :)
