Unggas.

Sebenarnya eja dia UNGS, which stands for University General Studies. UNGS ni ada 3 part. UNGS 2030: The Islamic Worldview, UNGS 2040: Islamic Knowledge and Civilization and UNGS 2050: Ethics and Fiqh for Daily Life.

This is because for degree, we'll be having a 'block' system which means that the timetable will be pack and UNGS can't be squeezed. Kena la belajar ketiga-tiga UNGS ni during short semester in Gombak campus.

Sorang satu compartment. Best la bilik dia. Luas. Tak macam kat CFS dulu. Meja study kat bawah, katil kat atas. Kena panjat tangga kalau nak tidur. Sangat kondusif sebab meja study besar suruh study, katil kat atas biar tak 'rajin' tidur huhuhu.

Best taw duduk kat Gombak ni. Tempatnya nyaman. Banyak pokok, tepi gunung. Banjaran Titiwangsa juga rasanya. Air Gombak sangat best. Sejuk gilaaaa! Very refreshing. Kalau nak berwuduk tu sangat best. Syukur Alhamdulillah :)

Kami students UNGS ni semua duduk kat Mahallah Safiyyah. Kelas pun dekat. Turun bukit sikit from Mahallah, lintas jalan, jalan sikit dah sampai kelas. Lagi dekat compare dgn daripada Mahallah Zainab to Mahallah Khadijah kat CFS dulu.

Kelas aku semua budak Medic. Ada 3-4 orang budak Nursing. Satu kelas about 40 orang.

Penat weh kelas 3 jam. First time, so tak biasa lagi. Kat CFS kan kelas leisure je. My first week here was quite stressful for me. Bayangkan kelas 2 kali sehari, satu kelas 3 jam, Sakit pinggang duduk lama-lama. Habis kelas petang pukul 5 PM, sampai bilik solat Asar semua, rehat kejap then dah nak kena prepare pergi training Karate pukul 6.30 PM. After training pulak selalu akan singgah burger stalls or Kafe Bilal untuk supper ;) Habis semua tu, tidur pukul 2AM.

First week memang terasa la kepenatan dia. Juggling banyak benda pun masa tu. Dengan nak prepare untuk "Seniors Are Back" semua. Oh, "Seniors Are Back" is our batch program with this year's Form 5 of our alma mater :) That week kebetulan kelas hari Khamis petang aku cancel. Aku pergi keluar lunch dengan Kelly kat Festival City. After that bantai BaskinRobbin's sampai dua scoops. Then we went back for Asar in UIA, visited Kelly's room at her Mahallah. Then waited for Tikah to come to Gombak. Yupp, Tikah came to Gombak and stayed with me. Thanks again for coming dear :* Anddd, later that night for dinner we had Burger Bakar yawww! Sodap giloss! Kelly and Tikah tak habis makan. However aku habis makan the whole special burger. Nampak tak tahap ke-stress-an aku  =.='

Aku pun tak taw kenapa aku stress sangat that week. Maybe I was tired and didn't had the ample time to rest. Sedangkan suatu hari nanti kalau aku jadi seorang doktor, banyak sangat ke rehat tu kan? Paling dekat pun nanti bila study kat Kuantan nanti, kosong sangat ke jadual tu? Sah-sah busy nanti. Dating dengan buku je selalu pun. I guess ada hikmah la kot kelas UNGS ni. Apart that I've learnt lots of Islamic knowledge,  how to look at the world at a different perspective, maybe aku takda la 'time shock' sangat bila masuk Kuantan nanti. Please manage your time wisely Hanieeeeee. Prioritize.

Kami budak UNGS ni pun untung sebab dapat merasa berpuasa kat Gombak. Kami dapat menyambut Ramadhan di semua campus i.e. Petaling Jaya (Past), Gombak (Now) and Kuantan (Soon). Tarawikh kat Masjid UIA pun sangat best. Dapat pengalaman solat yang diimamkan imam Arab. Dapat la feel macam kat Madinah or Mekah :) Jemaah kat sana pun very diverse. Bukan orang Melayu je. Ada Arabs, Africans, Indonesian, Thais and many more. Precious experience :)

Just some updates.
I just typed down
all the things that crossed my minds.
Berjurai
macam air kat Niagara Falls, ohh gitu.
Ramadhan Kareem everyone!
Beribadahlah sebanyak mungkin
 kerana sesungguhnya ibadah dibulan Ramadhan
 ini banya ganjarannya.
Semoga kita menjadi graduan
 Madrasah Ramadhan yang berjaya, InsyaAllah.
Wassalam :)

Using it.

Hmm, I don't really remember when was the date. But it was somewhen before 31st May 2013. Most of Malaysian students had received the Baucer Buku 1 Malaysia right? We are very gratefull that the government was kind enough to increase the amount from RM 200 in the previous year to RM 250 this year. Maybe RM 300 next year? Lol. Frankly, I didn't expect us to receive any the voucher this year and still, there was this financial help to buy smart phones. Ohh yeah, this year was the election year. Good moves *wink!*

I usually used the book voucher to buy academic textbooks and stationeries. However, I already had all my academic textbooks. Also, my story books supply was adequate enough for 2 years of reading. (I don't have so much time to read story books nowadays *sigh*)

Basically, the voucher will be distributed to the students early of the year around February and need to be use before 31st May. The thing is, I would really love if they extend the date line till October. At least I could use the voucher to buy books for degree which will only start in September.

However, the voucher will expire on the 31st May and I need to use it before the date mentioned. So, one fine day I had went out with 2 of my gorgeous friends; Pipah and Sarah. We went to Wangsa Walk as Sarah wanted to have a karaoke session hahhah. It was fun! We also had Nabilah with us, through Skype. She had this rosey cheeks as it was cold in Aussie. She had just finished her class. Tried to find a mat saleh for us, but none was around hahhaha. Hope to see you in December  NABILAAAHHH!!!

After singing our hearts out, we went to Popular bookstore there. I decided to spend my voucher on something that I longed to buy. I bought a pocket-sized DSLR tips book (which was very helpful indeed), a guide on being a musafir (as that time I was preparing to go on a vacation in Italy), a comic book which inserts hadiths (RECOMMENDED! saw the book being advertise in Gen-Q), and other islamic books. I just feel that my soul is in hunger to know more about Islam. Bought books that are more related to women and a book that caught my eyes about Rasullah's smile that I have yet to read.

Somehow I was shy to search for the spiritual books at their sections. I even had to ask Pipah to accompany me to choose the books. I know! It was somehow foolish of me =.='

There was this one book that caught my attention, it goes something like this "Ingin menjadi insan yang berjaya dan kaya? Bernikahlah!". Pulak dah! Hahahah. Beriyer aku ingat buku motivasi apa. Rupanya buku suruh kahwin hahahha. Don't worry, aku tak beli buku tu :)

"Dan kahwinlah orang yang bersendirian antara kamu,
dan orang yang layak (berkahwin) daripada hamba lelaki dan perempuan.
Jika mereka miskin,
Allah akan mengkayakan mereka daripada rezeki-Nya.
Dan Allah Maha Luas Pemberian-Nya
dan Maha Mengetahui"
(Surah al-Nur, ayat 32)
Wassalam :)

Aloha!

AAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

So not a way to greet people =.='

This gonna be so random. Am going to just flush anything that is in my mind.

Now, it is 3.30 in the morning. Will not having class for the day as it is a public holiday; Labour Day.

Lots of thing had been happening for the past 2 months. Almost two months kot aku tak update blog!!! But seriously, thing had been sooooooooooooooooooo hectic. This final sem in CFS is the MOST hectiec sem. No more lepak2 tengok movie every malam Khamis. You don't have time for that. Even the weekends at home were filled with something else. There was this one weekend that I even didn't have the chance to upload our pictures in Taiping.

Oh yeaahh, that some time my room mates and I went to Taiping, the home town of Atikah. It was my first time on an express bus. Such spacious seats!!! Sorry la kalau aku terlebih thrill ke apa. First time kot. Harap maklum.

We had receive such a warm hospitality by Atikah's family. I really do miss the calmness in Taiping, especially the cool water. Burrrr *shivers*

So, I had just underwent my Medic interview. Was quite cuak  when I knew that I'm gonna be the first person to enter the interviewing room *gulp* Yalah, you don't know what to expect. During the Medic briefing a few weeks before, we had been told that the panels will be provoking you. There will always be someone who will go out to the room crying. Sounds scary aite?

Typical question will always be 'do you really want to be a doctor?', 'did your parents asked you to be a doctor?', 'why do you want to be a doctor?', 'what do you want to specialized in?' and etc. I was having some difficulties on deciding specializing in what field. However, I do know that I want to be a specialist somehow, and even to further in PhD. Eh, nothing is impossible laa. Everything is possible when Allah wills it and when you really strive for it.

I might say that I am a dreamer. I always dream BIG. Sometimes it's like a big balloon filled with helium that made you drift away from the hard ground reality. Planned to have my own hospital. But Mama advised, "Get you degree first". Exactly! Kalau degree 5 tahun pun tak lepas, kirim salam je la kat hospital kau tu Hanie =.='

Tried seeking for my Biology lecturer's advice. What I could really remember was about "You actually don't know, what you already know". Hmm, sounds complicated? Huhuuuuhu. Or maybe I am just to afraid to say that I want it. Ahh, I also dunno what I want. Or maybe I do. #confused

She tried suggesting a few field that I might be interested on. Neurology? Not so into brain laa. Oncology? Oncologist works in the lab. I'm more to a people person who prefer to meet new people rather that spending hours in the lab. O&G? Yes, I agree that we need more Muslimah gynecologist. However I don't think it is for me. Pediatric? I love kids, but I'm not sure if kids love me. Lol. I might be a little bit garang for them. You really need this special skill to pacify the children. I come from a small family, just 3 siblings. Not so much experience with small children.

"How about cardiology? Madam rasa Hanie sesuai jadi cardiologist. You ada that ketegasan. And madam nampak la passion awak bila belajar pasal heart dulu". True. Heart is one of my favourite organs of the human anatomy. "Tapi saya takut kalau buat surgery tu. Salah sikit dah boleh membahayakan nyawa patient" "Thats the challenges you have to face". True again. "Actually dulu saya memang pernah berangan pun nak kerja kat IJN". That's how you know what you already knew. Somehow still afraid to say it out loud. Hanie Farhana, the future cardiologist?

If the panel asked what field of medicine you want to further, I can always said that I haven't decide yet. Though somehow just giving them the answer they want to hear is than to give them the impression that I'm not that interested in becoming a doctor. Dengan baru nak decide nak specialized apa, dengan kelam kabut nak pergi family day karate, dengan sibuk nak quiznyaa, memang tak sempat nak buat reseach. Oleh itu, aku pun sangatlah terharu bila Mama did the research for me about cardiology and compile it in a file; Hanie Cardiologist :') Best Mom anyone can ever wish for :')

During the weekend, the was held a Karate Family Day in Kuantan. We went there on Friday evening until Sunday. The interview was on the next day, Monday. Banyak betul dugaan sebab sepatutnya kami bertolak kembali ke Kuantan pukul 4 petang. Tapi bas sesat, lepas tu bas rosak dalam perjalanan nak ambil kami. End up the bus pick up up around 7 pm. Reached PJ approximately 12.15 am. The interview was at 8.30 am.

Atikah was kind enough to offer to iron my baju for interview. Minah ni memang full of surprises.

Pintu diketuk, meminta izin. Salam diberi, kenalkan diri.

Personally, I feel that my interview went really well. I was unconsciously smiling widely when I was exiting the 'judging' room.

Thats's all for now.
Wassalam :)
